Ale+Ale: from Switzerland to the Susa Valley. On the 16th September an expat couple returned to Italy!
Alessandra and Alessandro’s wedding took place in a delightful venue, a mountain refuge. They were very keen to have a boho wedding, in the mountains of the Susa Valley, and they chose me, as I know the region very well. For them, like many expat couples, returning to the land of their birth to celebrate their wedding was very important to them. The existence of expats is becoming ever more commonplace these days: the flight of brains, professionals who can express themselves better abroad, good careers sought and better recognized outside Italy. But the heart of an expat always beats for his homeland. That’s why Alessandra and Alessandro very much wanted to celebrate their marriage among our valleys, with their longstanding friends and loved ones. A “destination wedding” to all intents and purposes.
On my Instagram profile, when posting some photos of the wedding, they said about me:
“These photos can hardly begin to describe the complex and demanding work of my dear, essential wedding planner and her collaborator. For our wedding we relied on the work of a professional from #torino: @wedding_mia and what can I say, we were left speechless! Thanks to all her hard work and experience, our wedding was executed exactly as we wanted, creating a beautiful day of celebration with our loved ones … And it is on their behalf as well as our own, as the couple concerned, that we thank you for having kept close to us and helped us so much during the difficult moments of the long run of preparation, despite the distance between us (Lausanne, Turin); for patiently listening to all my requests, even the most impossible ones; for giving me valuable advice on the decorations and not only that: for not only paying particular attention to all the details but also to the guests, offering us fleece covers to keep us warm on the cold day; for your discreet presence, always smiling. Thank you for being a fundamental part of the most beautiful day of our lives”.
And then the mother of the bride, Nadia, who wrote on Facebook:
“What can I say… 5 well-deserved stars! Great professionalism, commitment, presence, friendliness and kindness. (Wedding at col del Lys on September 16, 2017). Thank you from all of us! A hug and best wishes for many, many other future business endeavours!” Some of the loveliest memories are: the bride’s plait with its floral garland, the theme of braces for the groom and his friends and all the sunflowers and chamomile. The blue and orange colours. It was very satisfying for me too, to capture your wishes and bring them to life, Ale&Ale: there was a spark between us straightaway, we created everything together, the fil rouge was clear and present from the beginning, I only helped to unwind the thread. Thank you, Alessandro and Alessandra, for sharing your joy and affection!
